Class will include a warm up, stretching and flexibility exercises as well as technique drills and choreography.  Two dances will be taught each month in forty-five minute sessions with a five minute break between dances.  The goal of this class will be to provide a professional environment for your children, while furthering their individual technique and performance skills.  Any behavior that endangers the goal of this class and that of any individual will be prohibited.  Class size will be limited to between 6-8 couples.  If necessary an additional class will be added starting at noon.  Through this class and Edudance there will be additional performance and competition opportunities for your young dancers to show off their new skills. 

Dress Code:  No flip-flops or open backed shoes- Dress shoes are preferred, and dance shoes will be discussed later in class.  Clothing should allow for freedom of movement without camouflaging the body.  Skirts and Dresses are recommended for all ladies and shirts must be tucked in for all Gentlemen. 

Parents:  I find that young dancers are self-conscious, and work better without the parents/guardians present.  For the first couple of classes this is especially important that your young dancers have a chance to become comfortable with themselves and their environment.  Parents will later be welcome to observe the last five minutes of class as well practice times.  All parents must also sign a liability waiver for their child before the first week of classes start.
